“And he taught, saying unto them, Is it not written, My house shall be called of all nations the house of prayer?”
Our pastor admonished us last night to spend more time in earnest prayer, to take every burden and situation to prayer-to go to prayer outside of the routine. There are so many things to pray about. As soon as I woke up, I was flooded with mind battles, heart aches and concerns. But God has the answers to all these things. No wonder the Bible says to us, “Pray without ceasing.” 1 Thess. 5:17
Life has taught me that men will always fail you no matter who they are, but God is an “ever present help in time of need.” Men will always misjudge you, but God knows your heart; He understands the very workings of your inner being; He cannot misjudge you.
And God listens and understands. Men can listen but they do not always listen to understand. Many times they have motives and agendas that they do not even fully grasp. But God listens because he loves. His motive is to love us. His motive is to have a relationship with us. How sweet. How pure. What a blessing, what a privilege to carry everything to God in prayer.
